Solving problems with the ECAS series: High capacitance and thin package

1:59

Do you experience challenging situations such as, “The mounting area for capacitors is limited, placing limitations on the size of the capacitors”? A single Murata ECAS series polymer aluminum electrolytic capacitors with maximum capacitance of 470 μF and minimum thickness of 2.0 mm can take the place of multiple conventional capacitors. Compared with an MLCC device with the same capacitance, the footprint of an equivalent ECAS series capacitor is around 50% smaller, contributing to more compact product designs. What's more, they are more than around 50% thinner than equivalent can-type aluminum electrolytic capacitors, and makes it easier to create thinner products. Furthermore, the volume of both resources consumed and waste produced can be reduced, leading to lowering the environmental burden.
