Solving problems with the ECAS series: Acoustic Noise Reduction

      3:27

      24 Jan. 2024

Do you have any concerns, such as "The capacitors produce an unpleasant sound (noise is an issue)"? When using MLCC devices, the product may sometimes generate acoustic noise. On the other hand, capacitors in our ECAS series do not generate acoustic noise caused by voltage application. Accordingly, switching from conventional MLCC devices to Murata's ECAS series of polymer aluminum electrolytic capacitors enables a reduction in both unpleasant noise and vibrations. Measuring the S.P.L. including background noise reveals that the ECAS series can reduce the S.P.L. by approximately 40% compared to regular MLCCs.
